Wendy's Impact: Real Stories, Real Results!
It has been 18 years since I have been to school… I was nervous about applying. Wendy was able to help me Google scholarships that I could apply for, gave ideas that I never thought about, and suggested tips as to what to include in my scholarship applications. She has helped me feel ready to start school.
I graduated early from high school and started community college three days later, but I didn’t have any money. [Wendy] suggested I apply for a tuition waiver, which paid for all my schooling. With the combination of Pell Grants and my husband's scholarships, we both received our education for free. I invite you to complete Wendy's program so you too can get your education for free.
Wendy helped me fill out the FAFSA and explore grant options. Utah State offered a science grant for maintaining a GPA over 3.5, giving me an extra $2,000 per semester. I later received an Army scholarship for medical school, covering everything and providing income, allowing me to graduate debt-free. The military was a huge blessing for our family.

Many students think there aren’t scholarships available once they’re in college, but that’s not true. After transferring to a new university, I quickly took 12 credits to qualify for scholarships. I applied through the school’s general scholarship application and also applied within my department. For two years, I received significant scholarships from both. I even attended a scholarship luncheon where I met a donor who personally awarded me another scholarship. Because of this, I graduated debt-free, bought a car, and now can pursue my dreams without financial burden.
The finding and applying sections were perfect, as they really show how easy it can be to find scholarships, and you helped me to find a lot of resources!
Wendy suggested I change the school I wanted to go to and by so doing saved me $60,000 and an extra year off of my degree.
Wendy encouraged me to apply for every scholarship I could, instead of working during high school. I followed her advice and ended up writing an essay that earned me a full-ride scholarship to Utah State University. I also took Wendy’s suggestion to pursue a dual degree by taking extra credits, which allowed me to graduate in four years with two degrees. Because of this, I got hired right after college and was able to support my husband as he finished his undergrad.
